Hi, I'm a 14 year old student currently studying at secondary school. I desperately need work experience within Birmingham. I need suggestions. Somewhere recognized and academic would be preferable. I've already tried many hospitals in Birmingham and unfortunately they all are fully booked. Any suggestions or ideas? Many thanks

This depends on what sort of work you want to gain experience in. You say you've tried all of the hospitals, but there is a wide range of occupations in the medical services, so it's hard to tell from that what you're after. Shops are usually good for work experience, and you could look at shops that sell products that you might want to work with, for example if you are interested in music, you could look at a shop that sells either CDs or one that sells musical instruments. If you want to go into the building trade, then you could look at merchants that supply builders, look at the shops in your locality, and see if there are any there that might be connected with a career that you are interested in, and see if they can help you.
