Why wont at&t phones work in Birmingham, Alabama?
i go to samford university and on the weekends, sometimes only saturday or sunday, some AT&T phones, including my original iPhone will not receive calls, text messages, voice mails and internet access. We can call other people, and sometime while on the line with someone else we can receive all the texts we didn't get. This is incredibly frustrating, and it needs to stop. iPhone 3g's work fine, its just some other AT&T phones and the iPhone original.

There are many different kinds of Medicaid. Some help families with children, some help elderly or disabled people, and some states have limited help for anyone that has little or no income. Because there are so many different programs, the best way to find out what is available to you is to contact a worker in your local area and talk about your situation. You will have to provide proof of your income and assets, as well as prove your identity and citizenship. You can have some income and some assets and still qualify for help -- each program has different rules. The website below has some great information about the programs in your state and even links to an application. It looks like your local office is at 486 Palisades Blvd in Birmingham. Phone: 1-800-362-1504. Ask to speak to a worker. If you can't get a person on the phone, file an application they are required to speak with you about any programs they may have available. This may mean they will just send you an appointment time and you have to show up. The important thing is to make contact if the appointment doesn't work for you.
